India’s Manu finished sixth with a throw of 13.86m in the men’s F37 shot put event at the Paris Paralympics on Friday (August 30, 2024).
Manu’s best effort of the day came in her fourth attempt.
Uzbekistan’s Marufkhujaev Kudratilokhon (16.37m) won the gold, while Tunisia’s Ben Mosalah Ahmed (15.40m) and Uzbekistan’s Yuldashev Tolibboy (15.24m) won the silver and bronze respectively.
Manu, 25, won the bronze medal in the shot put F37 event at the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China last year.
F37 is for field athletes whose coordination and speed are moderately affected on one side.
