- Rolland wins Race 2, ahead of Vehrlin and Pattum
Mascarati aces strategy
Wandourne score first formula e win in three years
With canceled qualifying due to heavy rains, free practice of drivers set the grid for the first race 2 times. Polyster and Championship leader Rowland initially held the lead. But the script was flipped by a red flag stoppage as Maximilian Guathar’s car stopped on the track.
Wandourne was the only driver who at that time promoted his pit fast-charging stops. The possibility of a mid-day stagnation due to the difficult weather was running an alternative strategy, in which Wandourn was burning quickly through his energy. It turned out to be a masterstroke, handing over to Wandourn, which was designed to promote the mandatory pit to the rest of the ground.
Wandourn said, “I forgot what it seems to win! It sounds strange because it is a bit unexpected, but at the same time, I knew it was 100 percent possible,” Wandourn said, who won his first race. Monaco 2022,
“We had a very adventure strategy: Initially spend so much energy to open our pit window long ago, being able to live in the first pit lane and offset ourselves from the rest, which we managed to do it. I love it when a plan comes to play when a plan is really, you really have a tough, it is a very tough. Comes, but today it comes together. “
Rolland settled for second place, after that McLarenTaylor Bernard.

Rolland bounced back into the second race, which was held under dry conditions. He slipped into P6 as he jumped for an attack mode later than his rivals. But he gave the right time to the deployment of his second attack mode and used additional power to reach P2, behind the race leader Pascal Vehrlin.
Nissan driver still had a 40 -second attack mode when Vehrin ran out of his boost. After a stressful wheel-to-wheel fight, it is eventually emerging at the top with the rolland. Dan Tiktam finished third, acquired his first podium finish in Formula E.
A period of disappointment for Mahindra racing
The Indian team is in third place in total
Mahindra Racing’s Call Free Practice 2 was paid to focus on a-lap performance as the qualifying was canceled, ranked second on the grid for the race to Edordo Mortara, with the team partner in the fifth place with NYCK De Vries.
Issues with attack mode activation deprived Mortara a podium finish, but he was able to rejuvenate a P6 result, which scored only the team’s points in the weekend. D Vris finished the P8 on the track, but a 5-second time was punished for contact with Mich Evans, which dropped it to P11.
In the second race, Mortara was once again in the podium dispute. But he hit a 5-second fine for the encounter with Barnard and ended in P12. After quickly losing losses, D Veer opted to conserve energy, expecting the security car intervention. The safety came out with three laps to go to the car, but it was too late, and De Veerais could only finish the P15.
Reflecting on the round, Mahindra Racing CEO and team principal Frederick Burtrand said, “We have incredibly strong forms in all season, but it is still a team and a car that is growing together and growing. Essentially there will be weekends where we have to learn more than you, but I have learned more than you, you have learned – you have learned – you have learned from the last seasons – you have learned more than you. Are.”
Nevertheless, Burtrand said that there were “a lot of positive” for the team in Tokyo, as they scored points and are still third in the World Championship, “ahead of some huge global manufacturer brands, which, compared to the previous year, is a big step. It is a small shock, but the journey moves forward.”
