Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva won big at the 70th National Awards announced on Friday. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan. The sci-fi epic won recognition in several categories, including winning the Best Male Playback Singer award for Arijit Singh’s rendition. SaffronBest Film in AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comic) and Best VFX Film. Reacting to the big win, Alia Bhatt wrote on her Instagram story, “Only love and light.”

The film was well received by both fans and critics. The winners of the 70th National Film Awards were announced on Friday, honouring the best films of 2022. Tamil film at the 68th National Film Awards Soorarai Pottru bagged the top award, while late filmmaker Sachy was posthumously awarded the Best Director award for Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Ajay Devgn and Surya shared the Best Actor award and Aparna Balamurali won the Best Actress award.
