In a significant move, the Maharashtra Cabinet on Thursday passed a resolution to recommend Ratan Tata’s name for India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna. This resolution will be submitted to the Central Government for approval.
The proposal was put forth after Shiv Sena leader Rahool Kanal urged Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to honor Tata’s contributions with this prestigious award.Shiv Sena leader Rahool Kanal, in a letter to CM Shinde, expressed that awarding the Bharat Ratna to Ratan Tata would be a fitting tribute to his unparalleled contributions to industry, society, and the nation.
