Patrolling Resumes at Demchok along the LAC

Following the completion of disengagement, Indian and Chinese forces began coordinated patrolling in Demchok on November 1. This step towards restoring the pre-2020 status at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) signifies improved relations.

Preventing Clashes Through Coordination

Ground commanders met on Wednesday to establish patrolling norms, including timing and frequency, to prevent any clashes. These measures aim to facilitate peaceful patrolling along the LAC.

Depsang Patrolling Expected Soon

With Demchok patrolling underway, patrolling in Depsang is expected to start over the weekend. This will allow Indian forces to access Patrolling Points 10 to 13, restoring their presence in the area as it was prior to January 2020.
