Matt Reeves shooting upcoming sequel batman Filming is expected to begin next year, the film’s co-writer Mattson Tomlin has confirmed. The much-anticipated Warner Bros film, which reportedly faced production delays, is slated for a 2022 sequel The BatmanStarring Robert Pattinson as the titular superhero alongside Zoe Kravitz, Colin Farrell and Jeffrey Wright in lead roles.
Tomlin wrote the screenplay. Batman Part II With Reeves on board, the writer said “the standard couldn’t be higher”. “It’s shooting next year. We’re prepping, and I would say the standard couldn’t be higher. It’s a sequel to the first one. But at the same time, Matt is like no one else. I’ve been working so closely with him for the last five years that I’ve tried to learn as much as I can from him.
“I’m so grateful for the time I got to spend with him, because he’s a true artist working in a world where sometimes art doesn’t thrive, and he’s trying to create something that really matters. So just to be on that journey and be a part of that process, it’s pretty incredible, pretty overwhelming. I’m excited for the movie,” he told entertainment news outlet Screen Rant.
Warner Bros. has officially given the green light Sequel The Batman At a CinemaCon presentation in 2022, a month after its theatrical release. The Batman In the film, Pattinson plays a warrior who spends two years fighting crime in Gotham City, exposing corruption while pursuing the Riddler (played by Paul Dano), a serial killer who targets Gotham’s elite.

It featured Kravitz as Selina Kyle / Catwoman, Wright as James Gordon, Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot / Penguin, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. The film grossed over US$750 million at the global box office.
