New Delhi:
Anushka Sharma Living a wonderful life with her husband Virat Kohli and their children, Vamika Kohli and Akay Kohli, in London. Anushka, who is currently in Mumbai for an event, opened up about parenting and revealed that she and Virat Kohli personally cook home-cooked food to pass on their family’s traditional recipes to future generations. Speaking at the event, Anushka said, “We had this discussion at home that if we don’t make the food our mothers make at home, we won’t be able to pass on these recipes to our kids. So, sometimes I cook, and sometimes my husband cooks, and we really try to replicate the way our mothers do. I cheat a little by calling my mom to ask for the recipe, but it’s very important. It’s like you’re passing on something valuable to your kids.”
Anushka also laughingly revealed how she still needs her mother’s help while trying out old recipes. The actress added that she insists on following a routine for Vamika and Akay despite being busy with travel. Elaborating on the subject, Anushka Sharma said, “I am very conscious of routines. We travel a lot as a family, and my kids experience a lot of changes in their lives. So, by creating a routine for them, I am giving them a sense of control. Meal times are fixed – no matter where we are, we eat at the same time and sleep at the same time. This helps them regulate themselves better.”
Anushka Sharma loves home-cooked food. ANI At the event, the actress revealed what she eats when she’s “not feeling well.” She said, “Whatever my mom made when we were growing up was my comfort food. One thing that I always eat and when I’m not feeling well, which instantly refreshes me, is dal chawal and suki aloo ki sabzi – all in one plate. I love it.” Take a look:
