British Airways Chennai Flight Turns Back to London Due to Boeing Flap Failure

Boeing Flap Failure

A Chennai-bound British Airways Boeing Dreamliner was forced to return to London on June 15, 2025, after a Boeing Flap Failure caused a technical issue mid-flight.

British Airways confirmed the flight landed safely, with all crew and passengers disembarking without incident, ensuring a routine deboarding process despite the British Airways Technical Snag, as stated in their official release regarding the Chennai Flight Return.

This comes days after a Boeing Dreamliner operated by Air India crashed in Ahmedabad, killing 241 people on board.

However, the airline withheld other information, including the flight’s departure time, the number of passengers and crew members on board, and the duration of the aircraft’s flight before returning to London.

The aircraft returned to Heathrow as a standard precaution after reports of a technical issue,” British Airways said.

Because, British Airways flight BA35 was supposed to leave at 1240 pm and arrive in Chennai at 3.30 am, according to the live flight tracking website Flightradar24.com.

After more than thirty-five minutes of delay, it finally left London Heathrow at 1.16 pm.

Data from Flightradar24.com shows that the flight BA35, which was piloted by a Boeing 787-8, stayed in the air for almost two hours before landing back at London Heathrow.

The British Airways Boeing Dreamliner, hit by a Boeing Flap Failure, circled in multiple holding patterns before safely landing back at Heathrow Airport on June 15, 2025, according to flight tracking websites.

British Airways stated, “Our teams are working hard to get their journeys back on track as soon as possible,” emphasizing their Heathrow Holding Patterns resolution and British Airways Recovery Efforts for affected passengers.

According to flightradar24.com, a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt that was headed to Hydrabad also made an air turnback to Frankfurt on Sunday.

But no one knew why it had been diverted back to Frankfurt.

According to the website, flight LH 752, which was operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, was supposed to arrive in Hyderabad at 1.20 am, but instead left Frankfurt at 14.29 instead of 13.05 pm.
