Australia opener Travis Head on June 26 overtook India's Suryakumar Yadav as the number one batsman in the latest ICC T20 rankings.

Suryakumar was at the number one spot since December 2023, but Head's stellar performance in the T20 World Cup has taken him to the top even as his team has been eliminated.

Head scored 255 runs with the help of two half-centuries, including a 76-run innings against India in the Super Eight match.

The Australian is two points ahead of Suryakumar (842 points), who has dropped one place to second position. However, he has a chance to regain the number one spot as India's campaign in the T20 World Cup is still alive.

England's Phil Salt and Pakistan's Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan pair are among the top 5 batsmen.

West Indies' Johnson Charles is the only new player to enter the top 10, moving up four places, while Afghanistan star Rahmanullah Gurbaz has dropped one place after rising five spots.

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has jumped 44 places to reach the 24th position while spinner Kuldeep Yadav has also climbed 20 places to reach the 11th position.

Spin all-rounder Axar Patel has moved up to eighth position and remains the top-ranked Indian bowler.

England's Adil Rashid remains at the top of the bowling rankings but after his stellar performance in the T20 World Cup, Rashid Khan has moved up to second spot while Josh Hazlewood has moved up three places to fourth behind Hasaranga.

Marcus Stoinis has been removed from the top spot in the all-rounders' rankings, that too after being at number one for a while. Stoinis has slipped to fourth place, while India's Hardik Pandya is third, Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi is second and Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga has regained the top spot.

West Indies' Roston Chase leads the list of all-rounders, jumping 17 places to 12th position.
