Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD has been receiving praises from critics, actors and filmmakers. The latest name to join the list is superstar Allu Arjun. In his detailed review of the film, Allu Arjun wrote, “Congratulations to the #Kalki2898AD team for an outstanding visual spectacle! Respect to my dear friend Prabhas garu for delivering this epic, gripping presence of the superhero. Amitabh Bachchan ji, you are truly inspiring… no words. Earlier this week, megastar Chiranjeevi wrote, “Heard great reports about Kalki 2898 A.D. Congratulations to Nag Ashwin for his creative genius in making this mytho-science-fiction futuristic film with stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan.” He further wrote in his post, “Heartiest congratulations to my favourite producer Ashwini Dutt garu, the passionate and courageous Swapna Dutt, Priyanka Dutt and the entire team for this achievement. Kalki 2898 AD released in theatres on Thursday and earned Rs 95.3 crore on its first day. On Friday, the film earned Rs 54 crore. The film's net collection in India is Rs 149.3 crore.
