NEET case mastermind Sanjeev Mukhiya behind multiple paper leaks, say Bihar EOU, ET HealthWorld

Patna: The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police has claimed that Sanjeev Mukhiya, the alleged mastermind of the NEET-UG 2024 question paper leak case, had also conspired to leak the question papers of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 3.0). This revelation comes after the recent arrest of four people from West Bengal in connection with the question paper leak of the constable recruitment exam held on October 1, 2023.

A senior EOU official said, “The arrested persons have been identified as Kaushik Kumar Kar and Sanjay Das, both from North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, and Suman Biswas. Another arrested person, Saurabh Bandhopadhyay, is a resident of Lucknow. These suspects were arrested in connection with the constable recruitment exam question paper leak on the night of June 26. The Central Selection Board of Constable (CSBC) had cancelled the exam on October 2 after the question paper and answers went viral on social media platforms a few hours before the exam.”

The question papers of BPSC TRE 3.0, to be held on March 15, 2024, got leaked on March 13 and 14 before the exam.

“The work of printing, packaging and transportation of question papers was outsourced by CSBC to Kolkata-based company Caltex Multiventure Pvt Ltd. However, investigation revealed that Caltex was a shell company. Caltex had outsourced all the work related to CSBC exams to Blessing Secure Press Pvt Ltd, which is owned by Kaushik, who was arrested from Kolkata,” the DIG said.
