In a rare occasion in Test cricket, the Pakistani pair have… Saud Shakeel And Mohammad Rizwan had to run between the wickets to add 4 runs to his total on the second day of the first Test against Bangladesh. It was Shakeel who drove the ball towards mid-off while bowling. Nahid RanaShoriful Aslam, standing at mid-off, put his hand on the ball, which reduced the pace of the ball. Although his fielding prevented the ball from touching the boundary rope, the Pakistani pair still managed to complete four runs by running between the wickets.

The ball hit Sharif’s hand and stopped near the long off boundary, causing Nazmul Hussain Shanto Shanto had to run from the mid-on region down the field to the boundary to catch it, giving the batsmen enough time to score four runs.

After losing 4 wickets on the first day, Pakistan made a good start on the second day. Abdullah Shafiq, Shan MasoodAnd Babar Azam Even gone before reaching double digits. Sam Ayub Shakeel and Rizwan also scored half-centuries of their own, before the latter was dismissed for 57.

New ball pair Shoreful Islam (2-30) and Mahmood (2-33) gave Pakistan a boost in a match that started 230 minutes late because of a wet outfield after overnight rain.

Shoriful dismissed home team captain Shan Masood for six and then star batsman Babar Azam for zero in the space of two balls after which Pakistan hit back on a greenish pitch.

Bangladesh captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto wasted no time in sending Pakistan in to bat after winning the toss and at tea, Pakistan were 81/3.

Mahmud provided the visitors with their first breakthrough in the fourth over when he had Abdullah Shafique caught by Zakir Hasan in the gully on a personal score of two runs.

Shoriful then had Masud caught behind off a fast delivery, prompting Bangladesh to successfully review South African umpire Adrian Holdstock’s not out decision.

In Shoriful’s next over, Azam nicked a delivery down the leg side to wicketkeeper Liton Das to be dismissed for zero at home for the first time in 14 Tests.
