Blackpink's Lisa returns to the music scene after a hiatus of almost two and a half years with her latest song Rock StarInterestingly, this is the first release under her new record label LLOUD. The two-minute and 48-second music video showcases Lisa's bold new hip-hop persona. Embracing her Thai roots, the K-pop idol delivers fiery English raps that reveal an unseen side of her artistic expression.

Set against the backdrop of the streets of Bangkok, the music video features Lisa walking through urban landscapes both alone and with dancers. In the video, she wears a distinctive backless crop top shaped like a star, which visually aligns with the single's title.

Lyrically, Lisa highlights her evolution from traditional K-pop norms, stating, “Get your favorite singer ready to rap, baby, la, la, Lisa, can you teach me Japanese? This is my life, baby, I'm a rockstar.”

ICYDK: Lisa made history by becoming the first female solo artist to win Best K-Pop Artist at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards for her hit music video LalisaHis debut solo album of the same name, released in September 2021, broke records in South Korea, selling 736,000 copies in its first week.
