Tata Panch CNG vs Hyundai Exter CNG: Dual Duality - Introduction

We see these rivals again after two years, but this time, the spotlight is on their CNG variants. We placed them through a series of real -world tests to take the winner.

Two years ago, we Pet the petrol-automatic versions of Hyundai Exter And Tata punch against each other. Then, Exteritors had the upper hand for their smooth and more sophisticated powertrain. Today, we see this rivalry again, but with a turn: both sub-compact SUVs are here in their CNG avatar. While they share many symptoms, such as a dual cylinder CNG setup, 27 km/kg of efficiency and premium features, including a sunroof, this time, the spotlight is at their real -world efficiency.

Tata Panch CNG vs Hyundai Exter CNG Interior and Argonomics

Let’s start with the punch. It is easy to understand why it is one of the best cars in the Tata country. Basics are correct-its high-ride trend, wide doors and easy entry make it particularly favorable for elderly travelers. High seating conditions provide a commanding view of the road, and the visible bonnet edges help the drivers to feel further in control. Driving experience is extended by light steering, gear shifts that are easy to execute (although not as exact as exterged) and a clutch that does not require much effort. In addition, individual front arrests increase long distance driving comfort, and surprisingly impressive audio systems add to its appeal.

There is a lot that Hyundai Extergate CNG and Tata Panch CNG are in mangoes.

Switching on Hyundai, it is clear why it continues to praise for its user-friendship. From gearbox to steering, every control feels light and more polished – simply for urban use. While its seating position is not in the form of punch, external visibility remains excellent, partially thanks to its lower window line. The quality of fit, finish and overall cabin is moderately better than the Tata, but the dark, does not feel as inviting the monotone theme, and leaves a little to be desired. They feel a bit very compact and do not offer the same level of support as the punch.

Tata Panch CNG vs Hyundai Exter CNG Engine and Performance

The engine performance of the punch has never been a strong point, and in its CNG avatar, it seems even more dull. While it can keep pace with urban traffic, it starts struggling when asked more. The actual strength of the punch lies in its composition at the speed of the highway; It feels stable and convinced, something that is better than External.

On this step, Exterited seems extremely sophisticated. The 4-cylinder engine is cool and more curious, and it is difficult to ignore its overall lubrication. Thanks to low gearing and smart engine calibration, you rarely need to shift gear. It draws at least cleaning 1,000rpm, which is ideal for stop-end-go traffic. In our acceleration trials, Exterited Hy-Cing Duo sprayed from 0 to 100kph in 14.85 seconds, faster 3 seconds compared to punch ICNG. In addition, the Exterpse is significantly faster than the Tata when the third gear increases from 20 to 80kphs in the third gear and 40kph in the fourth.

Extermination of exterter improves variation, but the highway hamps efficiency to an extent.

On the highway, however, the Exteric does not compose as a punch. There is more vertical movement on undulations. In addition, its engine is 300rpm higher than punch, 3,300rpm, while top gear is hovering at 100kph. It also explains why its highway efficiency in our test is slightly less than 30.3 km/kg, while Panch is 31 km/kg of ICNG. However, Hyundai returned 22.8 km/kg in the city, as its better instability is much higher than the Tata’s 20.7 km/kg. Both cars gave an impressive overall average, close to their 27 km/kg figure.

Tata Panch CNG vs Hyundai Exter CNG Fuel Efficiency

To determine their actual fuel efficiency, we prepared a simple test. We first drove both cars until their CNG tanks are completely empty. After that, we filled about 2 kg of gas in each vehicle again and fired them from all around in real world position within the city until they ran out of CNG. Then, we repeated the process and run them on the highway. Since it is almost impossible to fill the exact equal amount of gas in each car, we have calculated their efficiency based on the actual distance divided by the amount of gas.

Tata Panch CNG vs Hyundai Exteric CNG facilities and safety

For records, here is the Tata punch adventure + mid-variant, while the Hyundai Exter is in its top-end SX trim. To maintain the fair of that comparison, we are evaluating both cars based on their respective top-spec versions. Interestingly, the Tata punch offers a widespread spread of variants with ICNG. Its entry-level trims are more cheaper than the CNG Prasad of Hyundai, although it has pricier than high trims exterters.

The punch ICNG gets a spare tire, while the exterter gets only one tire repair kit.

When it comes to features, the punch affects the ICNG cruise control and a large 10.25-inch touchscreen with additions, which is missed by Hyundai. But the Exteritors hit back with major security features such as six airbags, a tyra-trafficking monitoring system, hill-start assist and electrically folding mirrors, which are all absent in punch.

Both cars use dual CNG cylinders under the boot floor, which naturally compromise the cargo space compared to their petrol-keval counterparts. He said, the punch boot seems slightly more usable, especially if the parcel shelves of both cars are removed. In addition, Tata offers a full -sized spare tire, while Exterits just with a tire repair kit.

Tata Panch CNG vs Hyundai Exter CNG decision

To do yoga to things, Tata Panch ICNG is a compelling option for buyers in search of an affordable, compact and practical highway cruiser. Its hard construction, elevated sitting and great audio system adds a lot of appeal. Where it decreases, it is in a lump sum performance and the absence of major security facilities such as hill-start assist, tyre-pest monitoring and additional airbags. On the other hand, Hyundai Exter, the city has a more sophisticated and easy-to-drive option. It provides better fuel efficiency, provides more security features, and still manages to reduce the punch at the price – despite packing in more equipment. It may not yet lead the sales chart, but it is Exterited that feels like a better round product, and for this reason, it is the winner in this comparison.
