The increase in fuel prices, the government’s push for eco-friendly transport and its clear discouragement of diesel has increased the demand for CNG cars in India. In addition to being more economical than petrol and diesel, CNG for-wheelers are also environmentally friendly. In response, mass-market car manufacturer Maruti, Bye, Hyundai And Toyota Especially expanded its CNG portfolio in the SUV segment. Unlike before, when the CNG kits were limited to the base variants of bare-bare-bakes, many brands now introduce them to many trims, making the feature-rich CNG SUV more accessible. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

Maruti Grand Vitara The SUV is introduced with CNG option in mid-spec trims, including delta and zeta. The Grand Vitara CNG has a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine for a 5-speed manual transmission (MT), which produces 88hp and 121.5Nm and gives a mileage of 26.6 km/kg. The Maruti SUV has a 55-liter (water equivalent) CNG tank. It should be noted that Maruti is not yet accepting booking for Grand Vitara CNG, and its update model is expected to come by the end of June.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Hirer

Toyota Urban Cruiser HirerWhich is a rebellious version of Maruti Grand Vitara, provides a CNG option in mid-kalpan e and G variants. Hyryder CNG shares his 88hp, 1.5-liter engine with Grand Vitara, which distributes the mileage of 26.6 km/kg. In particular, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hilder and Maruti Grand Vitara are currently the only midsize SUVs that come with factory-fit CNG kit.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

Except for top-specs zxi+ trim, the rest Maruti Brezza Variants – LXI, VXI and ZXI – can be done with CNG kits. The compact SUV is powered by an 88hp, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine (also introduced with Grand Vitara CNG and Hyryder CNG), and is paired with a 5-speed MT. The Maruti Brezza CNG is fitted with a 55-liter tank, and has a 25.51 km of Arai mileage.

Tata nexon

Tata nexon Here is the only car with four power sources: petrol, diesel, electric and CNG. It is also the first turbocharged CNG compact SUV in the industry. Brezza uses rival Tata’s twin-cylinder technology, despite a 60-liter capacity, offers more boot spaces than a larger tank. Nexon CNG comes in smart, smart+, smart+ s, pure+, pure+ s, creative and creative+ S trims. It is also available in Black-out Dark Knight Edition in Creative+ S, Creative+ and Fearless+ Trims, characterized by a latter two, a renunciation sunroof, there is no other CNG car in this list. Its 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine with 6mt makes 100hp, 170nm, and 24 km/kg of Arai mileage. Unlike other CNG cars, which rely on petrol for ignition, this Tata SUV can be started directly in CNG mode, conservation of fuel in startups.

Toyota India offers Toyota Urban Cruiser Taer The SUV, which is based on the Maruti Fronx, in the range starting with only a CNG kit. However, the CNG version of the Toyota SUV is likely to be Rs 23,000 compared to the trim equal to its Maruti SUV counterpart. Taisor CNG is run with a 5-speed manual gearbox by 77.5hp, 98.5nm-1.2-liter four-cylinder engine. It has 28.51 km/kg of mileage (claimed by the brand) and 55-liter CNG tank.

Maruti Frocks The sub-full-meter SUV offers a CNG kit in two variants: base sigma and high-tainted delta, which comes with an extended list of features. The Fronx CNG comes with a 1.2-liter CNG-run power plant and claims the same 28.51 km/km mileage figure.

Hyundai India does not offer a range-topping exter SX (O) trim with a factory-fitted CNG kit. Under the hood, the External SUV has a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine that pushes 69hp and 95.2Nm into 5mt units, and has a 27.1 km/kg mileage.

The punch CNG is also available in the mastery+ trim in the CAMO version, with a green external paint and the same sunroof options. Tata’s punch CNG SUV 74hp, 103nm 1.2-liter with a 5-speed manual transmission (MT) with a three-cylinder engine and is also used. Recently revealed Tata Ultrose faceliftThe punch CNG mileage is 26.99 km/kg (ARAI), and like the Tata Nexon, it can be started directly in CNG mode.
