New Delhi:
Bollywood actress Sharvari, whose last film Munjya did well at the box office, recently spoke about her latest film Veda’s poor performance at the box office. The film has earned Rs 19.25 crore so far. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Sharvari said, “Honestly, there are two different ways to look at it. For me, I think my heart in Veda was in the role and the performance. I really think the heart of the film was in the right place. Now the business decisions, whether things work or not, are out of my hands because this is only my third film in theatres. So, it’s something I’m still learning, and I’m still trying to understand how it translates and what’s right in terms of business.”
She further added, “I think this role was very difficult and challenging and totally out of my comfort zone. So, when I got the love of the audience, I was satisfied because I had trusted my performance a little bit. It could have happened in a hundred other ways. For me, it happened the right way, it’s a big victory. I haven’t done drama, which is also very difficult, and it was a big success for me.”
Talking about the work front, Sharvari was last seen in Veda. The film also stars John Abraham and Tamannaah in lead roles. The film was released on Independence Day and clashed with Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 and Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein. She was also seen in Munjya opposite Abhishek Verma. Directed by Dinesh Vijan, the film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.
