Although there were opinions on both sides, some users questioned whether the post, which was intended to honor family doctors, should have started the argument in the first place.
It all started on July 1st when Vidit Gujrathi posted a picture of his family and wished them a happy National Doctors’ Day.
In his post on X, Gujrathi included a selfie he had taken with his wife, sister, and parents, along with the caption, “Happy Doctors’ Day to my entire family.”
When curious users inquired about their areas of expertise, Gujrathi responded as follows:
“My father is an Ayurvedic Migraine specialist, wife is MD, Homeopathy, mom does Cosmetology and sister is a physiotherapist.”
Vidit And Liver Doctor Tweet Clash
Everything was fine until The Liver Doc sent out a tweet that completely altered the tone of the discussion.
“I am sorry but none of them are really doctors,” — He wrote bluntly, which led to a heated argument with the grandmaster and a series of reactions.
Gujrathi Defends Family in Controversy
In response, Gujrathi defended his family’s credentials and selflessness, claiming that they were “certified doctors” who had devoted their lives to helping him and others.
After removing the initial post, Gujrathi responded by posting screenshots of his conversation with The Liver Doc, accusing him of pursuing influence by “tearing people down” and asserting that his family had “quietly healed lives without needing a spotlight.”
TheLiverDoc’s Defense
Vidit And Liver Doctor controversy escalated as TheLiverDoc, a hepatologist, responded to Vidit Gujrathi’s post, clarifying on July 2, 2025, he meant no offense to Gujrathi Family Post, just stating facts from a Professional Standpoint.
The Liver Doc adamantly stated, “Your statement on Doctors Day claiming an Ayurvedic practitioner, homeopath, cosmetologist, and physiotherapist were doctors is wrong and I stand by my words,” without holding back.
“Physicians are not clinical physicians, nor are practitioners of Ayurveda, homeopathy, cosmetology, or physiotherapy realistic clinical medicine.”
He continued, “Physiotherapy is a legitimate medical field (as an adjunct to clinical medicine), but the rest are complete frauds, particularly homeopathy, which is also referred to as N*zi Medicine because H*tler attempted to incorporate it with traditional medicine at the time.

Even though The Liver Doc’s reasoning is grounded in medical truth, detractors claimed that his timing lacked compassion and that he ought to fight the relevant authorities rather than the grandmaster specifically.
