‘Viduthalai 2’: Vetrimaaran-Vijay Sethupathi get a release date

Viduthalai 2, The much awaited sequel of the 2023 Tamil film Viduthalai, has got a release date. Starring Vijay Sethupathi and directed by Vetrimaaran, the film will hit the screens on December 20, 2024.

The makers recently released the first-look posters of the sequel, featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier. In one poster, Vijay Sethupathi was seen in the avatar of a teacher. In the other poster, he was seen as a desperate man in blood-stained clothes.

first part of Viduthalai The film focuses primarily on the journey of Suri, who plays a constable recruited to arrest the leader of a separatist group played by Vijay Sethupathi. The rest of the film’s cast includes Bhavani Shrey, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Chetan and Rajiv Menon.

Ilaiyaraaja has composed the music for the film while R Velraj is the cinematographer. Both films were screened at the Rotterdam International Film Festival.
