18th Installment of PM-KISAN: What You Need to Know
The 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be released today, October 5, 2024. The government will transfer ₹2,000 each to more than 9.5 crore small and marginal farmers across the country, with a total allocation of ₹20,000 crore.
Scheme Overview
The PM-KISAN scheme offers ₹6,000 annually to eligible farmers, distributed in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. The 17th installment, released on June 18, 2024, benefitted about 9.25 crore farmers. With the upcoming 18th installment, an additional 25 lakh farmers have been added to the beneficiary list, reaching a new milestone
Eligibility for PM-KISAN
To be eligible for the PM-KISAN scheme, farmers must meet the following criteria:Ownership of cultivable landSmall and marginal farmers with up to 2 hectares of landRegistered under the scheme with valid documents such as Aadhaar, bank account, and land records
eKYC Process
For beneficiaries to receive the installment, completing the eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) process is essential. Here’s how you can do it:
- Visit the PM-KISAN official website.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and verify using OTP.
- Update any necessary information and submit for approval.
You will receive confirmation once your eKYC is successfully completed.
