Following a deadly terror attack in Kashmir’s Gulmarg sector near the Line of Control, where two soldiers and two civilian porters were killed, the Defence spokesperson confirmed Pakistani terrorists aimed to disrupt peace in the Valley. The convoy was ambushed near the Nagin post at Bota Pathri, killing four and injuring three soldiers. The attackers managed to escape into dense foliage, taking advantage of low visibility and terrain.

Army’s Swift Response Thwarts Further Damage

The Defence spokesperson detailed that terrorists fired on an Army column in Baramulla’s Butapathri area, which was transporting soldiers and local porters. Swift retaliation by alert troops forced the attackers to retreat, leaving behind a weapon and a rucksack. A search operation continues as the Army remains vigilant against further attempts.

The Defence spokesperson emphasized, “Pakistani terrorists are deliberately targeting Kashmiri locals to spread fear, disrupting the Valley’s progress toward stability.” The attack exemplifies a strategic attempt to intimidate locals and destabilize the region.
