Twin-turbo Audi R8 is the fastest car in India
Competition in the premiere unrestricted category, Pachigalla saw a time of 9.635 seconds for a 402 -meter dash in round 1 on Friday. He improved in Round 2 on Sunday in 8.948 seconds, setting a new national record in the process. He also won the Indian Open M3 (unlimited) category on Sunday, which was determining 8.955 seconds.
However, his fastest run Varroom Drag Meet – came during a support event – where he crossed his own national record and set a shocking time of 8.849 seconds. Pachigalla’s Audi R8 V10+was tuned by poisoning and a sheep race producing more than 1600hp is equipped with twin-turbo setup, now officially is the fastest car in India in quarter-miles-and first to dip the 9-second.
Among other highlights, 80-year-old Vidyaprakash Dam Damardaran, the oldest participant of the event, was unbeaten in the Pro-Stock 3061CC-4002cc category in both rounds, running his Audi TT. Meanwhile, Shreyas Mahendra of Bangalore claimed victory in three categories-Prophetk in 2051-2550cc, Indian Open M1, and M2-Round 1.
