Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 shifted from Bangladesh to UAE: ICC

The ICC said on Tuesday that the Women’s T20 World Cup will be moved to the United Arab Emirates due to unrest in Bangladesh following the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The event, scheduled to be held from October 3 to 20, will now be held in Dubai and Sharjah.

ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said: “It’s a shame Bangladesh wasn’t able to host the Women’s T20 World Cup as we know the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) could have delivered a memorable event.”
