New Delhi: Health Secretary Apoorva Chandra On Wednesday, a letter was written to the states and union territories demanding that ‘Action Report‘ Immediately safety measures Rules have been made for doctors and healthcare professionals. States and Union Territories have to submit the report by September 10.

The letter mentions the key points that were discussed during the video conference between states on August 28 on providing security to doctors and healthcare workers in all institutions.

This event occurred after the following: Supreme Court On August 22, it was ordered that a meeting be held with all secretaries and directors general of police to ensure the safety of doctors at the workplace.

The 11 points mentioned in the letter include identification of high-risk establishments, conducting security audits, paying special attention to high-risk areas, CCTV surveillance, integration with local police, appointing security personnel, setting up security committees, ensuring security checks, following bereavement protocols by doctors and other healthcare professionals, deployment of patient facilitators, and appointing trained social workers, volunteers, and coordinators.

The move comes following the outrage among doctors to ensure their safety after the horrific rape and murder of a resident doctor. Kolkata,
