Lyon names USMNT’s Tanner Tessmann as first American player to join club

Lyon have signed United States international Tanner Tessman From VeneziaThe Ligue 1 club said in a statement, statement On Tuesday.

Tessmann made 20 Serie A appearances for Venezia before moving to Serie B at the end of the 2021-22 season. He was instrumental in leading the club back to Italy’s top division last season, missing just one game while registering seven goals and three assists.

He has made two appearances for the senior US men’s national team, making his debut in January 2021.
