India’s Rubina Francis won a bronze medal in the final of the women’s air pistol SH1 event on Saturday, continuing a strong performance by the country’s shooters at the Paris Paralympics.
Rubina scored a total of 211.1 points to finish third in the eight-woman final. Earlier in the day, she had qualified for the final by finishing seventh in the qualification round.
This was India’s fourth medal in shooting and fifth overall at the Paris Paralympics.
On Friday, Avani Lekhara created history at the Tokyo Paralympics by winning gold in the women’s 10m air rifle while her compatriot Mona Agarwal won bronze.
