At the CNBC-TV18 India Business Leader Awards 2024, Rajiv Bajaj revealed that Bajaj Chetak is now the largest-selling electric scooter in India, based on December VAHAN data. This marks a significant milestone for Bajaj Auto in the EV market.
Bajaj Auto’s Remarkable Journey
Rajiv Bajaj shared the company’s success story, including the transition to hi-tech motorcycles, global exports to over 100 countries, and a move towards green energy with CNG and electric vehicles. Bajaj Auto also introduced the world’s first CNG two-wheeler, Bajaj Freedom 125.
Rajiv Bajaj’s Vision for the Future
While accepting the award, Bajaj hinted at his long association with CNBC-TV18 and humorously mentioned a possible political career, saying he would inform CNBC-TV18 first if he ever runs for Prime Minister.
