Tirupati laddoo controversy

Prakash Raj criticizes Pawan Kalyan leading to the Tirupati laddoo controversy over alleged adulteration.

Tirupati Laddoo Controversy Unfolds

The ongoing controversy regarding the ghee used in making laddoos at Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati Temple has sparked a public dispute between actor-politician Pawan Kalyan and fellow actor Prakash Raj. Kalyan raised concerns about the alleged adulteration of Tirupati laddoos with animal fats, including fish oil, pork fat, and beef fat, questioning the accountability of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board established under the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government.

Pawan Kalyan’s Call for Action

In a recent social media post, Pawan Kalyan suggested the formation of a “Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board” at a national level to address temple-related issues across Bharath. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive debate involving policymakers, religious leaders, and citizens to protect “Sanatana Dharma” from desecration.

Prakash Raj’s Response

Prakash Raj responded critically to Kalyan’s remarks, accusing him of inflating a regional issue into a national controversy. Raj urged Kalyan to focus on local investigations rather than exacerbating communal tensions. He posted, “Dear Pawan Kalyan, it has happened in a state where you are a Deputy Chief Minister. Please investigate and find out the culprits instead of blowing up the issue nationally.”
